Since Russ Hamilton's IP Address would be located within the United States, most likely Las Vegas; then it wasn't picked up (by Absolute Poker personnel) that he was cheating. If the IP Address came from Costa Rica, then it would be obvious to Absolute Poker collusion detection employees to catch the perpetrators who had the access to view the hands of each player in a particular game. Also, it is important to know that the "inside" individual who is in the picture above, was fairly familiar with company operations and how to avoid getting caught.
