“Things are not going well in Silicon Valley. Google’s stocks are dropping like a rocket in the last two weeks. In order to counterattack this trend, the company is desperately trying to open new channels to generate more revenues and increase their cash flow. The latest of these efforts is to put text ads in Google maps. This comes right after click-to-buy buttons on YouTube and AdSense for Flash games. There is nothing wrong with opening new advertisement channels to squeeze extra money, but if you open all these new ad services in one week while your stocks are tumbling down sharply, that is a show of desperation. I think Google is a little late in creating these channels especially the YouTubevertorial. While the financial meltdown has been expected for a long time, they should have been able to create these simple channels much earlier.” source...
